The 31st meeting of the GBIF Governing Board and associated events, Vairão, Vila do Conde, Portugal

Jun 18, 2024 | GB31, GBIF, News 30 September – 4 October 2024 Dear GBIF Heads of Delegation, additional delegates and GBIF committee members As you may know, the 31st GBIF Governing Board meeting (GB31) and associated events will take place in Portugal on 30 September-4 October 2024. The events will take place in Vairão, Vila do Conde which is located just outside Porto. The registration for the GB31 events is now open. The GB31 website with information about the various events, practical information and the registration form is available at https://gb31.gbif.org Before registering, we kindly ask you to read the Terms and Conditions for the meeting. A bit of practical information: In-person attendance Please note that most of the events will only be available for in-person on site attendance. More information can be found in the GB31 website under ‘Programme’. Financial support The GBIF Secretariat offers the possibility of applying for partial funding to attend the Governing Board meeting and Symposium on 1-3 October 2024. More information about the eligibility criteria, application process and link to the application form can be found in the GB31 website under ‘Financial support’. Please note that deadline for applying for partial funds is 12 July 2024 and applications received after the deadline will not be considered. Visa requirements for Portugal Please note that all attendees are responsible for preparing their own travel documentation required for entering Portugal. We urge you to check well in advance if you need a visa to travel to Portugal. Applicants should submit their visa applications well in advance of the meeting.
