The GBIF Secretariat, located in Copenhagen, is looking for a Communications Specialist to join the Participation and Engagement group and expand the capacity of its Communications team.

The incumbent’s primary responsibilities will encompass general communications support with special attention to:

• Create, edit, revise, and publish written materials, including news articles, newsletters, and other content for both web and print.
• Plan, implement and monitor participation through social networks.

What you need

• A passion for biodiversity, science and/or data.
• A clear understanding of best practices, trends and data-driven insights in social media.
• A grasp on brand communications basics, such as voice, tone, brand personality and positioning.
• Demonstrated experience engaging audiences through social media to build connections and increase brand loyalty.
